Betwixt ' n ' Between

This Month's Featured Song Lyrics

Bloom Where You’re Planted

Bloom where you’re planted

Work in the soil

All of the love that Christ taught in His toil

The harvest is great but the workers are few

So [: tend to the fields that are ripe around you:]

Some tend to wander

Some tend to roam

Sometimes their faith they feel takes them from home

Away from the ones and the places ‘ they love

|: Due to the calling they hear from above:|

 There're missions in Togo

 Some in Peru

Then there’s the ones smack dab right front of you

There’s no need to travel though very far

|: There’s plenty of hurtin’ right in our back yard:|

Bloom where you’re planted

Work in the soil

All of the love that Christ taught in His toil

The harvest is great but the workers are few

So |: tend to the fields that are ripe around you:|

Commentary:  Written during a time of band transition.  Well, actually splitting up due to one member going to Costa Rica for long term mission work, the other having already moved to Kansas (and commuting to CO for gigs).  So, there may have been some deeper meaning running around in this songwriter's head(?)  That aside, the message is for all of us:  Not everyone is called, able (0r willing) to go to a foreign land, but that doesn't mean there aren't opportunities.  They abound.  They are all around us everyday.  We are invited to join in.  rm
